A journey to the heart of Putumayo to connect directly with the land, the medicine, and the indigenous wisdom that sustain the origin of Chakana Ancestral.
For eleven days, we will live alongside families and taitas of the territory. We will share in their daily life, enter the maloca, learn the process of preparing the medicine, and participate in ceremonies, pagamentos, and integration spaces.
We do not travel to Colombia in search of an exotic experience. We return to the source to continue our own process and approach tradition from presence, respect, and direct experience.
An invitation to remember who you are
There are moments when we do not need to keep looking for answers outside, but rather pause, move through what weighs on us, and listen once again to what remains beneath the noise.
This retreat has been created for those who feel the call to return to what is essential, understand the origin of their patterns, and open a new movement in their life.

The territory
Where the Amazon and the Andes meet.
The Sibundoy Valley lies nestled in the mountains of Putumayo, in a territory where the Amazon and the Andes converge.
Here, ancestral medicine is presented neither as a product nor as an isolated experience. It is part of a living relationship with the community, the land, the elders, the maloca, and a tradition passed down from generation to generation.
During the journey, we will experience this reality from within: sharing with families, walking the land, and engaging with the medicine from its original context.

We work alongside the Indigenous peoples of Putumayo.
Every year, we return to Colombia to continue our own path.
We do not buy pre-made medicine. We stay alongside the families and taitas of Putumayo, sleep on their land, share their meals, harvest the vine, and participate in its preparation under the guidance and supervision of the taita.
For Chakana Ancestral, this bond is not a marketing strategy. It is a commitment to the origin of the medicine, to those who preserve it, and to the way it subsequently arrives at our ceremonies in Spain.

Guided by César
Returns to his homeland with the group.
César comes from a medicine lineage in southern Colombia and trained for years alongside taitas from Putumayo. This journey is his path back: the same homes, the same chants, the same lagoon.
He accompanies the group in the territory, sustains relationships with the families, and tends to the rhythms of each ceremony alongside the taitas.

Days 1–2
Arrival and entry into the territory
Group reception, transfer, rest, presentation of the journey, and opening of the immersion.

Days 3–5
The medicine and the maloca
Living alongside the families, connecting with the plants, personal preparation, and the first ayahuasca ceremony.

Days 6–8
Territory and depth
Traditional tobacco purge, walks, spaces for understanding, and new ceremonies accompanied by the taitas.

Days 9–10
Pagamento and integration
Visit to La Cocha lagoon, pagamento, closing of the ceremonial process, and integration of the experience.

Day 11
Return
Group closing and the beginning of the integration phase into daily life.
The sequence may be adapted according to the guidance of the taitas, the territory, and the genuine needs of the group.
Before, during, and after
The experience does not begin when boarding the plane, nor does it end upon returning to Spain.
Each participant undergoes a journey of preparation, immersion, and integration:
